The exhaust prevents toxic fumes from entering your vehicle's cabin and works to let the exhaust gases out as smoothly as possible. Built-up exhaust fumes can cause the engine to wear faster than it should.
Any leaks in the exhaust system may cause the toxic fumes to enter the cabin and cause occupant incapacitation.
The exhaust is a very loud system in normal operation, to solve this issue a muffler is added to reduce noise and backpressure levels from an engine. too high a backpressure can cause increased emissions, increased fuel consumption, and can negatively affect the engine performance.
The Catalytic Converter is an emission device that reduces toxic pollutants in the exhaust gas. Catalytic Converters often last for 10 years or more, but they become contaminated, clogged, overheated, or physically damaged. All Pro Automotive can have this fixed in no time, most cars will require the aftermarket catalytic converter to be welded to the exhaust pipes, not to worry as we have certified welders at All Pro.
After we install the new converter we will also change out the oxygen sensors, these are normally located after the catalytic converter to help monitor its performance.
